Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situation or AICS is a form of assistance funded by the Local Government Unit of Buhi that addresses the immediate and emergency need of a person. Emergency in nature includes purchase of medicines, augment hospital bills and food and transportation assistance. The Office for Social Welfare and Development Services (OSWDS) provides emergency financial assistance to individuals and families who are in extremely difficult situation and have inadequate resources.

The Office for Senior Citizens Affair is established under the office of the Mayor to plan, programs and activities which can be provided by registered federation and association of Senior Citizens and maintain and update on a quarterly basis the list of Senior Citizens and issue national uniform individual identification cards and purchase booklets free of charge, which shall be valid anywhere in the country.
